It is clear from the Bible that the church is responsible to reach out with the gospel of salvation to the lost souls in our local communities and beyond. Therefore, in addition to preaching the gospel, as a Church family, we organise a series of outdoor fun activities during the summer and break bread together.
The poor and needy, including seniors, are not exempted. looking for ways to express the love of God in-kind and showing mercy is such an incredible thing for us to do as the Lord keeps strengthening us.
The focus is not to be seen by others but to do it sincerely, the same way the Good Samaritan showed mercy to the man who was beaten, stripped, robbed and left almost dead according to Luke Chap. 10. The wisest man whoever lived says, “whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed” (Proverbs 19:17)
