Welcome!
Solomon K. Amedofu (Pastor-Teacher)
There may be several questions that may be going through your mind about finding a good Church that upholds and practices sound doctrine. By that I mean, a Church that does not only believe in the inspired and inerrancy of the sixty-six books of the Bible, but also in the essential teachings of the Holy Scriptures based on context as was revealed by Almighty God. You may have become confused about what a true Church is, from that of a seeker-friendly Churches.
Well, on behalf of the leadership and members, we would like to warmly welcome you to the Berean Bible Church. And it is our desire through the grace given to us by God to fulfil such hunger and thirst for the word of truth. All Scripture is given for us, but all Scripture is NOT about us. We are to read and study the entire Bible but must rightly divide it. What was given under the Law was meant for those who were under the Law. Likewise, what has been given to the Church is intended for Church-age Christians. We do believe in the literal interpretation of the Holy Scriptures except for in few cases where the text may be saying something different. We teach the Holy Scriptures verse by verse, topical and also do book studies. Our aim is to prepare a bride (Group of believers) ready for her husband (Christ Jesus) in His return when the believers will be caught up (Raptured) with Him in the air. The Church believes in the doctrine of the Trinity, the hypostatic union of Jesus Christ (His full deity and humanity), that one is spiritually lost until he/she expresses faith alone in Christ alone for the forgiveness of sins for salvation, the bodily resurrection and substitutional atonement of Christ, in Christ‘s physical return and the inerrancy and authority of the Holy Scriptures. In one of the letters of Apostle Paul to his son, Timothy, it reads, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works “(2 Timothy 3:16 – 17).
The only remedy is to become studious in the studying of the infallible word of God. Therefore, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15).
Why we exist in the nation of Sweden:
It is the sole responsibility of the Church (The called out once) to make Jesus known in every community, city and the world at large. We (The Church) have been commissioned by Christ to make disciples of all nations as stated in Matthew 28:18 – 20. “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, all power is given unto me in heaven and in the earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.”
As a local Church, we must spread out the good news of Jesus Christ to those who are seated in darkness. “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me” (Acts 26:18).
Blessed is the nation whose trust is in God Almighty; their defence and protection would never diminish. God would be the source of their prosperity. The Scripture emphatically states that “Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a disgrace to any people” (Proverbs 14:34).
There is a strong need for us to always pray for this beautiful nation, especially for those who have been given the mandate to serve as our leaders in various capacities. In one of the three Pastoral Epistles, Paul says, “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour” (1 Timothy 2:1–3).
Amen!
