THE GOAL AND OBJECTIVE OF OUR HOME-CELL GROUPS
Someone once said, “Learning is not attained by chance; it must be sought for with great passion and attended to with diligence.” Jesus says, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” The biblical meaning of a disciple is a “student who follows” his teacher. Paul, the Apostle, says in 1 Corinthians 11:1, “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.”
The training up of disciples for Christ shouldn’t only end at Church. Our home-cell groups are there to help simplify or give clarity to the things that were difficult to understand during Church services because repetitive learning makes it easier for many to learn effectively and become knowledgeable about what they have been taught.
There’s a necessity for us to have home-cell groups, it helps facilitate the spiritual growth of the church. The goal is not different from what is written in Ephesians 4:12 – 16, “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: that we henceforth are no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supply, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, makes increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”
We do have home-group studies online every Wednesday at 07:00 PM Swedish local time, which is led by Solomon K. Amedofu.
Paul the Apostle tells us that, “For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become *conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters” (Romans 8:29).
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. (Jude 24-25)
MAY GRACE AND PEACE BE MULTIPLIED TO YOU.
