Doctrinal Statement

The Bible –

We believe and teach that the sixty-six books of the Bible which are inerrant, are the inspired and written revelation of God by holy men who were carried along by the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Scriptures (Bible) serve as the one and only infallible authority in all matters of faith and practical instructions.

The Godhead –

The Father – We believe and teach that there is only one God eternally exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit; all three are co-eternal, co-infinite and co-equal and are worthy of worship.

Jesus Christ We believe and teach that Jesus Christ who is the second person of the Godhead is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent, and has always been God since eternity past and has never ceased to be God.

Holy Spirit We believe and teach that the Holy Spirit, is the third person of the Godhead, who is also omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent and he is the illuminator and interpreter of the unadulterated word of God. It is the work of the Holy Spirit that conviction of sin that leads to salvation is made possible.

Creation

We believe and therefore we teach that the creation was literally done in six days, and every other account other than the biblical account is false.

Angels:

– Fallen Angels

We believe and therefore teach that God created uncountable angels; they cannot reproduce themselves and were sinless, but one of the arch-angels; Lucifer also known as Satan, the Devil, the deceiver of the world, through pride led a host of angels to rebel against God Almighty, and were judged and cast down from heaven awaiting their final abode (Lake of fire). We believe that these fallen angels also known as demons are actively executing satanic activities and causing atrocities.

Chosen Angels

We believe and teach that those angels who chose not the path of Lucifer; the devil, were sealed and can no longer commit sin. And these are also known as ministering angels to God and His saints on earth.

Man

We believe and teach that man did NOT come about as a result of evolution according to Darwinian theory. We believe that God created man in His image and likeness to have fellowship with him, but lost his spiritual status when he chose to sin. And because of Adam’s sin, all humanity has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

Salvation

We believe and therefore teach that salvation is the work of the Holy Spirit, and is the gracious gift of God, which comes through faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross plus nothing. We believe that at the point of salvation, the believer is instantaneously justified (Declared not guilty), and has become regenerated and been blessed with every spiritual blessing and can no longer lose his/her salvation because he/she is eternally secured by God Almighty who cannot lie.

The Church – The Bride of Christ:

We believe and teach that at the moment of salvation, the believer becomes part of the body of Christ through the Holy Spirit baptism.
We believe that after salvation the believer receives positional sanctification and thus must work-out his/her salvation with fear and reverence before God unto spiritual maturity.

Tongues

We believe and teach that the biblical gifting of tongues (Real spoken human languages) which have interpretations are for a sign to the unbelievers NOT the believers. And we believe that speaking in two or more syllables in a rapid and repeated manner (Gk. glossolalia: unhuman language with no interpretation – Gibberish) has nothing to do with Christianity, talk-less of salvation which comes as a result of grace through faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross plus nothing.

The Shepherd –

We believe that it’s the responsibility of the Shepherd (Pastor-teacher) who is a masculine gender of a church congregation to carry out his stewardship by feeding, God’s flock faithfully.

The two ordinances of the Lord:

We believe that there are two ordinances of the Lord which we are to observe: The Lord’s Supper and water baptism by immersion.

The Lord’s Supper –

We believe we are to partake in the Lord’s Supper as a memorial and remembrance of the death of Christ on the Cross of Calvary.
We believe we are to partake of it as often as necessary in proclaiming the Lord’s death until He returns.

Water Baptism by Immersion –

We believe that water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are both ordinances of our Lord. Water Baptism is necessary for making disciples for Jesus. It is important to be observed because the Lord commanded it (Matthew 28:19-20). And those who are to be baptized must be saved Christians when they fully understand its purpose.

We believe that water baptism by immersion means merely that one identifies himself with Jesus Christ. Furthermore, it’s just a public expression or declaration of once love and faith in Christ Jesus. We do not believe that water baptism is a means of salvation. It is the work of the Holy Spirit that baptises one unto salvation. And the idea that water baptism must be seen as a requirement by which someone would become saved or become a member of the Church is biblically baseless.

Female Pastors –

We believe and teach that the Bible does NOT support anything like female pastors to shepherd God’s flock. The Bible prohibits a woman to teach or exercise authority over the man. According to God’s structure, such responsibilities are meant only for the masculine gender.

However, women can emulate Sarah who was obedient to her own husband, Abraham; considering him as lord, and doing what was right without fear.  Women can teach their children and their fellow women the way of the Lord.

Tithing –

As Church age believers, we do not believe in tithing. There is a clear distinction between the Law of Moses (I.e. 613 commandments) and the Law of Christ that came through grace by faith in Jesus Christ. Tithing was given under the Mosaic law to Israel to observe, and it was a form of taxation for specific purposes under the Mosaic Law. The Law of Christ (I.e. Matthew 22:37-39) appeared when the Mosaic Law was fulfilled and became obsolete when Christ died on the cross.
In this Church age, it is NOT required for Christians to tithe. Jesus Christ never commanded the Church to practise tithing, and none of His apostles collected tithe. There is NO blessing for a Christian to tithe. Moreover, to partially observe the deeds of the Law (613 commandments) under Grace is like putting oneself under the curse of the Law. Galatians 3:10 -11 says,  “For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: but that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by (the) faith.”

The Church & Israel –

We believe that there is a clear distinction between Israel and the Church. We teach that the Church is NOT a spiritual Israel, and that God hasn’t done away with Israel, or neither has He transferred the blessings of Israel to the Church. All the unfulfilled blessing of Israel shall be literally fulfilled sometime in the future.

The Rapture

We believe and teach the pre-tribulation rapture of the Church which will soon happen and both the dead and living saints shall be caught-up to join with Jesus Christ in the air.

The Tribulation

We believe and teach the pre-tribulation of Israel which will happen after the rapture of the Church. It will be a time of Israel’s seventieth week of Judgement on the earth, which will also usher in the great tribulation known as Jacob’s trouble.

The Second Coming of Christ

We believe that Israel will be saved from their enemies in the second coming of Christ with all the saints after the tribulation. Christ shall come with excellent power and mighty glory and then shall usher in the millennium kingdom.

The Millennium (1000 Year)

We believe that there will be a 1000 year rule of Jesus Christ on the earth. And Israel’s blessings will then be fulfilled literally. They shall receive a total restoration of their land based on God’s covenant promises.

Our Eternal State

We believe that after the 1000 year reign of Christ on earth, there will be a final judgement. While the unbeliever shall appear before the white throne judgement and be condemned to the lake of fire, the believers in Christ shall appear before the judgement seat of Christ and shall receive rewards according to their labour. And this is when the scripture shall be fulfilled according to 1 Corinthians 2:9 – 10. But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

May grace and peace be multiplied to you.
